This Privacy Policy applies to all online services, websites, and member areas of The Gentledog Academy (gentledog-academy.ch, including associated subdomains and the Moodle platform).

2. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Personal data refers to all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

We process personal data exclusively in accordance with applicable data protection laws (Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection – FADP/DSG and, where applicable, the GDPR).

We collect data when you visit our websites (gentledog-academy.ch), when you contact us via forms or e-mail, and in connection with course registrations and booking processes.

4. Use of Wix and Hostpoint

Our website is operated using Wix.com Ltd., 40 Namol Road, Tel Aviv, Israel.

Wix processes personal data (e.g. IP addresses, contact details, and payment-related data) on behalf of The Gentledog KLG.
Data may be stored on servers located in the EU, the USA, or Israel. Israel is recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection in accordance with decisions of the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and the European Commission.

In addition, there is a technical connection to Hostpoint AG, Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland, for domain and e-mail hosting.

All related data processing takes place exclusively within Switzerland.

5. Moodle Platform

For the administration of online examinations and courses, The Gentledog KLG operates its own Moodle instance.

In this context, names, e-mail addresses, and test results are processed.
Login credentials are used exclusively for course administration and are deleted after completion of the course in accordance with statutory retention periods.

Server location: Switzerland (Hostpoint).

6. Payment Processing

Payments are processed via payment service providers integrated into Wix (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, credit card providers).

The necessary payment data is transmitted directly to the respective payment provider.
The Gentledog KLG does not receive or store complete payment details (such as credit card numbers).

7. Communication and Newsletter

If you contact us by e-mail or subscribe to our newsletter, your details will be used to process your request or to send the requested information.

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link provided.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (e.g. pixels) to analyse usage and improve the user experience.
